Task Lighting- Use table lamps or free standing lamps for working on individual projects such as a puzzle, game, paper, crocheting or other hobby. Ideally, living room lamps should be set slightly behind and to the left or right of the area being illuminated so the light can come from behind the person's shoulder and pour light on towards the project at hand. Use smaller track lighting fixtures or other low-level lighting agents for computers and television viewing. This avoids glare and allows the screen its proper image display.
Usually 53 to 60 inches in width, and 34 to 38 inches in height and depth, loveseats complete a living room set without taking up too much space. As probably the largest piece of furniture in the room, loveseats play a pivotal role in the look of the entire living space.
Replacing one key furniture piece is another way to keep your budget low. Carefully determine what should be replaced due to wear or poor function. Adding one new item can make a large impact on the look and function of the space. For example, adding a new coffee table with storage drawers where there had previously been a beat up table. The addition will freshen the space, while reducing clutter with the useful storage for remotes, magazines, etc. in the drawers.
